We’re delighted to share our lineup of extracurriculars for Fall 2026. CMS handles registration only for extracurriculars taught by CMS teachers. For all other offerings, parents should register their child directly with the extracurricular provider.
Arts & Music Extracurriculars taught by our Music Teacher, Katie Thompson, and our new Art Teacher, Blythe Danley, cost $255 per semester (payable through FACTS). Classes will be offered September 8—November 30, and make-ups will take place December 1—16 (as needed).
The deadline to register for fall extracurriculars is September 14.

Hands-On Harmony

Explore melody, rhythm, and harmony at your own pace using bells, chimes, glockenspiels, metallophones, and xylophones. This class is based in the Orff Schulwerk approach—a child-centered method that combines music, movement, speech, and play—to allow children to make music naturally, just as they learn language.

Explore a wide range of printmaking techniques including monoprinting, relief carving, collagraphs, cyanotypes! We’ll experiment with layering texture and pattern and design our own stencils and stamps.

Exploring Ukulele

Learn to play the ukulele! After starting with the basics, you’ll begin to transition between chords smoothly, accompany familiar songs, and develop basic fingerpicking techniques. With each strum and song, you’ll also develop fine motor skills, musical literacy, and listening skills.

Experiment with natural printing processes such as cyanotypes, anthotypes, and other light-sensitive art processes. We’ll gather and arrange objects to create unique prints using natural materials, such as shells, feathers, and leaves.
